4.3 Photo upload rules When selecting some of your pictures to upload to Stockxpert, please keep in mind that your images must match certain criteria to be marketable. Our customers demand high quality images that are creative, interesting and useful at the same time. You must also obtain all the necessary permissions from your models to prevent potential legal trouble. We reserve the right to reject images that we don't find suitable for the site. Make sure the photo is crisp and clear We only accept sharp and noise free images. Adjust brightness and levels Please make sure your photos are properly lit, and that they are not over- or underexposed. Rotate the photo if necessary We will reject it if they are upside down or rotated in the wrong direction. Seriously. Adjust the compostion Get rid of distracting elements and unnecessary parts. Fix tilted horizontals and bad centering. Remove frames, texts, dates and watermarks. Remove copyrighted content Stockxpert does not allow photos that contain logos, trademarks (apart from a few images where it can't be avoided), vehicle licence plates, names, etc. Before uploading please remove these from your photos. DO NOT UPLOAD photos with any text, timestamp or watermark photos with frames photos containing copyrighted material (paintings, posters, advertisements, cd / book / dvd covers, logos) adult / violent content photos with excessive blur, noise or bad JPEG quality photos that are too dark or badly lit photos rotated into the wrong direction photos where the subject is too small or barely visible portraits and people shots without signed model releases photos of places or objects that require the permission of the owners without signed property releases TOPICS WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR Contemporary life and business scenes, people from all over the world, exciting portraits and group photos, seasonal images... We want a LOT of these! Keep 'em coming! :) TOPICS WE ARE NOT SO KEEN ON Sunsets, landscapes, flowers, pets, very basic studio pics, vacation shots... If you think you can provide better than the ones we have online, upload them, but remember: we're very picky about these. SIZING INFORMATION Images on Stockxpert come in the following sizes depending on the original size of the uploaded image: XS ~ 0.2 megapixels S ~ 0.5 megapixels M ~ 2 megapixels L ~ 4 megapixels XL ~ 8 megapixels XXL ~ 15 megapixels or more Uploaded files will be available in their original size and all sizes below that. For example if you upload a 9 megapixel file, it will be available for download in XL, L, M, S and XS sizes. If the size of a file is closer to a higher category, it will be available in that category as well, for example a roughly 12 megapixel file may be available for download in XXL. Please do not scale your images to fit in a higher category!
